ACCEPTANCE
Basically, all therapy is an encounter with yourself. Therapy can help you to increase your awareness of this encounter. Thus, therapy can be said to be a form of awareness training for you to be able to contain and to accept whatever is present within you at the moment

Which therapeutical methods are being used?

The basis of the therapy is existentialistic and phenomenological thinking within psychological and philosophical tradition. In short, these subjects deal with how a human being experiences his life and gives meaning to it.

In therapy this is expressed in the way that the therapist listens to and tries to understand the client's point of view as accurately as possible in an exploration of how the client experiences his world, thoughts, emotions and general understanding.

I also use elements from Gestalt therapy, from Psychodynamic thinking, Cognitive Therapy, and with an overall focus based in Mindfulness. I use these different methods to put an effort into understanding and into helping you understand and give meaning to your own experiences.

The therapy is an encounter with yourself. This takes courage, since it entails taking the responsibility for your life. Therapy can assist you in increasing your awareness of this courage, and what the obstacles are to you having this courage.

Transformation happens when you surrender yourself to the process, and when you can contain the feelings and emotions present in you at the moment in an accepting and non-judgmental way. Thus, your awareness of your feelings, thoughts and bodily sensations can increase.

So, the form of therapy I practice can be said to be a form of awareness training in order for you to be more conscious of your own way of expressing yourself emotionally, psychologically, bodily, and how you give meaning to your life.
